Lines of Action
Beyond the Institute’s collaborative efforts to articulate an overarching conceptual framework for participating in discourses concerned with the advancement of civilization, the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity is engaged in the following additional lines of action:
-
Training young adults
The Institute conducts a series of seminars for university students and recent graduates in several countries around the world.
-
Participation in specific discourses related to social transformation
-
Science, Religion and Development »
Nongovernmental organizations in the development field play a crucial role in designing and carrying out projects at the grassroots. In ten countries, the Institute supports processes of action and reflection undertaken by such organizations, specifically those that use science and religion as sources of knowledge and insight for their projects.
-
Governance »
Effective governance is a prerequisite for human prosperity and well-being. The Institute therefore seeks to explore with others how principles drawn from science and religion can inform the structure and selection of leadership and legitimate authority; processes of collective decision making, implementation, and reflective learning; and training and education for effective governance.
-
Equality of Women and Men »
The achievement of full equality between women and men is one of the most important prerequisites for global prosperity and the advancement of society. The Institute therefore seeks to explore with others a set of foundational concepts and insights that are relevant to establishing the equality of women and men.
-
Overcoming Oppression »
Oppression of diverse forms is one of the greatest obstacles to human progress. This line of action is concerned with examining how oppression can be overcome in unifying and constructive ways that advance collective prosperity and well-being.
